Cantina Michele Sartori
Viticulture on the Tenna Hill

From the desire to restore vine cultivation on the Colle di Tenna, the Michele Sartori Winery was born.

An ambitious life project, built on sacrifice, patient planning, and a deep passion for the land.

Colle di Tenna

Winemaking tradition to be rediscovered

Lake Caldonazzo, the naturally suited land, and the favorable climatic conditions — the recovery of vine cultivation on the Colle di Tenna is a modern and ambitious project that combines the pursuit of high-quality raw materials with innovation, while staying true to tradition.

My project

Michele Sartori

Driven by the desire to embark on a new life path, in 2016 I decided to take the plunge into this adventure: the Michele Sartori Winery is an effort to enhance the potential of historically renowned lands, cultivate high-quality grapes, and produce a wine that truly reflects its territory. This journey is leading me to rediscover simple yet fundamental values, such as the connection with the land, commitment, dedication, and the ability to patiently wait.

The vineyards

Maso Serafini and the terraces of Tenna
All the estate’s lands are located on the Colle di Tenna, starting with those at higher elevations near Maso Serafini, then extending to the “Pianari,” and descending through terraces and slopes facing Lake Caldonazzo, in the fields of “Feghini” and “Fontanaze.”

Trentodoc

Classic Method
Starting from the early 1900s, the first Chardonnay vine cuttings imported from France were planted on the steep slopes of Colle di Tenna, on terraces overlooking Lake Caldonazzo. On these historically renowned lands for sparkling wine production, I planted my first vines in 2015. My Metodo Classico is a pure Trentodoc Extra Brut, aged on the lees in the bottle for 36 months.

Pinot Nero

Maso Serafini
From the grapes hand-harvested and carefully worked on the estate lands of Maso Serafini comes my first finished bottle. A Pinot Noir with an intense ruby color and a complex, distinctive structure, aged for 12 months in oak barriques and a further 12 months in the bottle.

Riesling Renano

The historic vineyards

From vines over 50 years old, cultivated at the “Fontanazeon the terraces overlooking Lake Caldonazzo and from the vineyards at the “Pianarion the summit of Colle di Tenna, comes a wine with unmistakable and distinctive notes.

A Riesling Renano aged for 2 years in the bottle, it is a pure expression of lands carefully hand-cultivated with great care and passion.
